CLASSES OF FIRES
- Class A Fires are your ordinary combustibles such as wood. cloth and rubber.
- Class B Fires are flammable liquids and gas.
- Class C Fires are electrical fires.
- Class D Fires are combustible metals. Some examples of metals that are combustible are titanium, magnesium, potassium, steel, uranium, lithium, calcium, and plutonium.
- Class K Fires are fires in commercial cooking areas where cooking oils are used in fryers.
